On Guard provides background screening information on potential and current employees. The business was primarily established to service organizations with their recruitment needs and has since diversified to focus on background screening (pre-employment checks) to enable employers to mitigate risks in their recruitment processes.
On Guard Consulting is 100% black owned. The business registered with Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) also registered with South African Revenue Services (SARS) and with UIF registration number 2594148/6.

On Guard Consulting (Pty) Ltd was founded by Vusi Richard Mahlangu in 2014. The business was started out of interest and passion for the background screening industry through research undertaken about the background screening industry locally and abroad. The director bring years’ of working experience in the research and development industry through a government agency and decided to venture into background screening.
